U3 - U10
1v1 Soccer Offers Grassroots Community Schemes for players Aged 2-9 (U3-U10)
1v1 Soccer aims to provide young Canadian players with the same learning opportunities as young players in leading soccer countries.
1v1 Soccer's community scheme represents vibrant and active community based soccer programs that aims to support soccer development and nurture a passion for the game. The scheme offers many activities including regular fun coaching sessions, summer and winter house-league development programs, school holiday camps and inner city schools programs.
We have upgraded our Tansley Woods community programs to better serve you for the fall 2008 season. Sessions are now now limited to a maximum of 12 players and players aged 4/5 have been seperated out from the older (ages 6-8) players.
A detailed evaluation form and full training kit (shirt/shorts/socks) has been added to the program.

House-League Development Programs
In 2005, 1v1 established it’s own recreational house-league program for children aged U4-U8. Our objective was to create a fun and exciting learning environment where young players could learn the game at their own pace and develop a passion for the sport.
Our success to date has been built on providing a progressive learning curriculum that places the player as the main focus. We introduce young players to the basic skills required to play the game and then let them enjoy using their new skills in small-sided game formats that facilitates lots of touches on the ball.
These programs are designed to provide young players with a combination of technical instruction and small-sided games (age appropriate) in a fun environment.
The unstructured environment of “street soccer” is duplicated so that young players can practice the new skills that they have learned away from the pressures of winning and losing.
- Technical instruction facilitated by qualified professional coach
|
- Small-sided game (age appropriate) league play to maximize touches on the ball
|
- Positive learning environment with an emphasis on self-discovery
|
- Skills Contests to benchmark technical ability
|
We firmly believe that involvement in soccer can greatly influence the overall development of children and that the early ages, fun and development must be emphasized over competition.
All children 3 – 11, regardless of skill level or experience, are welcome to join 1v1 Soccer’s progressive learning for the enjoyment of the game.
